Why
Should I Register?
This is a new and exciting career site. To make it successful,
there must be a dynamic interaction between pharmaceutical
sales professionals, the pharmaceutical companies which hire
them, and the recruiters who place them. Those who post their
sales positions onto a site which is as elite and focused as
this one, will lose interest if they do not see an impressive
universe of sales professionals in the database through which
they may search for suitable new hires. Thus, even though this
site is still in its growth stage, it is important that as
many sales professionals as possible, and as early as
possible, register and submit their resumes quickly in order
to populate the sales professional database.
How
Should I Register?
Registering is simple, and takes just a few minutes. Go
to Sales Professional Registration, and after reviewing
the terms and conditions, you will be asked to (1) choose and
enter a User Name (your email address) and Password, (2) enter
some personal and professional information about yourself, and
(3) attach and submit your resume.
What
If I Don't See My Company, Product Experience Or Market
Experience?
We have made every effort to standardize pharmaceutical
company names, products and market experience. If individuals
and companies use identical words to describe and search,
matching individuals with jobs will be a snap. We have taken
the names of the pharmaceutical companies right out of the
Physicians Desk Reference (PDR) and other sources, using
wherever possible the complete name the companies use. For
products and product categories, we have as well gone to the
PDR with its comprehensive list, and other sources. In an
effort to cover most bases, some products are listed, some
categories are listed, and yet others are simply descriptive.
Under Position, we have combined such titles as sales
representative, pharmaceutical sales representative, field
representative, territory manager, PSR and others under the
single catchwords of Sales Representative. Thus, we urge you
to examine the listed products and product categories, the
market experience and the company names, and select those
which most effectively describe you and your experience. If
the name of your company, your product experience or your
market experience is not included in the corresponding
dropdown box, please select Other and drop us an email.
Why
Should I Enter Personal and Professional Information?
Unlike most of the other career sites, which use key word
searches to identify resumes, we believe there is a better
way. Who is in the best position to identify your experience?
You are. Who can best identify the markets you call on, the
products you work with? You can. Thus, when you register,
employers and recruiters will be able to search for you based
on the information you have provided about yourself.
Furthermore, with our improved search tools, they will be able
to search for you by location, by product experience, by
market experience, or by any combination of these and other
keys. At the end of the form you will be offered the
opportunity to review the information you have provided. You
are then given an opportunity to edit or otherwise correct any
entries before attaching your resume and submitting it to the
confidential resume database. Once registered, by using your
User Name and Password you may access and edit your
information and resume any time you wish.
Is
My Information Viewable To Anyone Other Than Employers and
Recruiters?
Absolutely not. No other sales professionals or other casual
site visitor may view your information or your resume. Only
those who have contracted with Go2PharmSales.com will be
permitted access to your information. And even then, you may
block the access of any companies you specify.
Is
My Information Absolutely Confidential?
Absolutely
confidential. The system is designed to keep out intruders,
and you will note just above the personal information you fill
out that there is a complete listing of pharmaceutical
companies. Before proceeding further you may select one or
more of those companies to prevent them from accessing your
information. This offers you, of course, the opportunity to
prevent your own employer from viewing your information and
seeing that you are considering other opportunities. It
provides excellent protection.
We have learned also that
some sites are suspected of selling the e-mail addresses
of individuals who register with their site.
Go2PharmSales.com will never share your email address or
other contact information with anyone other than
employers and recruiters who have contracted with
Go2PharmSales.
Must
I Register With The Site If I Want To Search Through Sales
Opportunities (Job Bank)?
Of course not. It is to the advantage of those posting
positions to let the maximum number of people view those jobs
and submit their resumes if they are interested. If you find a
position you wish to apply for, however, you must register and
submit your resume via the tools available on this site. It's
important that the employers and recruiters know that their
Go2PharmSales.com membership is producing results.
How
Long Will My Resume Remain On The Site?
Your information and resume remain active for 180 days. We'll
send you an email notice on the 170th day reminding you that
the registration will expire in 10 days. If you wish to renew
it for another 180 days, you will be given that option. If you
take no action it will expire and be deleted from the database
at the end of 180 days.
What
If I Forget My Password?
If you log in and receive a notice that you have used an
invalid password, you will be given a prompt to either
Click Here (if you've lost your Password), or to
Continue. If you select Continue, you will return to
login. If you select Click Here, you will receive an
email which gives you your password.
How
Do I Change Or Edit The Information Or Resume I Have
Submitted?
Once you have registered, you may go to login and enter
your User Name and Password. You will be linked to the
Sales Professional Forum, where these options are
available.
How
Do I Search For A Job?
Go to Sales Opportunities. With
the additional tools we have created on this site to search
sales opportunities, you can search by location, product
experience, market familiarity, company, position, or any
combination of those (and others). Since the only individuals
who use this site are pharmaceutical sales professionals (or
those who wish to become one), and the only ones posting
openings are pharmaceutical companies and recruiters wishing
to identify quality sales professionals, this job search
process is refreshingly efficient and flexible.
